    With many species caught on fly at Alphonse the atoll, the sheer diversity gives anglers an array of species to target during their stay on the Island. The high volumes of Bonefish on these flats make for a great experience for those looking to dip a toe in the saltwater fishing world for the first time. Multiple numbers of anglers reaching the sort after targeting 20 bonefish for a days fishing. It is safe to say that this fishery is the most prolific bone fishery in the world. Once you have conquered the arts of bonefish, Alphonse has the ability to offer you the next level of saltwater fishing. Whether you want to target the tricky Triggerfish, technical Milkfish or gangster-like Giant Trevally, it is all on offer at Alphonse just in days work.

    Beachside bungalows boast queen-sized beds, a sitting area, a private bathroom and private outdoor shower and a large balcony overlooking the white sand beaches that are only metres away. These large and spaces bungalows are perfect for your every need. Rod racks and fridges and breakfast table are all found in your room. Although breakfast is held in the main dining area each morning – if you feel like a lazy morning, you don’t have to leave the room. A central dining and bar area allows guests to socialise while enjoying their favourite drink or cocktail and dine on the very best of traditional Creole creations.

    • Depart IDC on a chartered flight direct to Alphonse Island
    • Arrive in Alphonse and be shown to your room before relaxing for the afternoon
    • An afternoon spent setting up a gear with guides, fishing, relaxing at the bar or pool
    Day 3 to Day 10 – Continued fishing

  • Do I need a Visa to travel in the Seychelles?

    As a British citizen, you do not need to apply for a visa when travelling in Seychelles. You will be granted a 90-day free visa on arrival at Mahé.

Suitable gear


The Seychelles requires several rods to be used on a is angle weeks fishing. Flats fishing for bonefish normally requires 7wt rods. Triggerfish, Permit, Parrotfish and others require a 9/10wt rod, and of course, the Giant Trevally requires 12wt rods. Please contact us for more information.

Dry bags and rain jackets are key when travelling to the Seychelles. Your full day will be spent out on the river on a flats skiff, the weather can get wet, and waves can splash the boat. Keeping camera equipment, fly boxes, and your lunch dry is a crucial part of the day. The Seychelles sun is brutal; covering as much skin as possible is key. Fly Box

Water-resistant fly boxes are a key element when fishing saltwater. The salt rusts hooks very quickly; keeping them dry will prevent having rusty hooks.
